Twist by Tveit & Tornøe

One of my favorite lamp producers, Norwegian Northern Lighting, are launching this cool new lamp at the Stockholm Furniture Fair next week. Twist is designed by Tveit & Tornøe.

I have written about these talented designers before. Their office is in fact just a couple of floors above mine here at Verftet. Did you know they are the brains behind these famous Dots by Muuto?

I like this

There is absolutely room in my wardrobe for this wonderful wool shawl from Norwegian Berg & Berg (via D2). This red one is a beauty too.

We now have two Seed lamps by our bed and we love them. They are from Northern Lighting.

Seed

As a gift for my very belated 30th birthday celebration my wonderful friends gave me the Seed lamp. It has been on my wishlist ever since I wrote about it more than two years ago. I'm very happy with it! So is Sølve. I've ordered another one for his side of the bed.

Sunday

You might have noticed that I'm quite fond of Northern Lighting. Above is another lamp from their portfolio that I really like; Sunday designed by Frost Produkt, beautifully photographed by Tom Gustavsen.

elfin sprout

This photo is an interior alibi for my NIB (Norwegian interior design blogs) membership. It shows how I use my Wik & Walsøe vase (a wedding gift); I keep it on the kitchen bench for kitchen utensils - but only wood utensils because they are much more pretty than the cheap IKEA plastic ones.

There has not been so much interior design related posts here lately. My apologies! I have a bit of a backlog of photos (especially film photos) from the summer that I want to show you. I hope you don't mind. In the mean time you can have a look at these interior design related links:

EDIT: Abigail turns 27 today and is having an annual birthday sale in her jewellery shop + the Abigail & Ryan shop. Check her blog for details.

underfull

I'm not much into table cloths, but I love this one by Norwegian designer Kristine Bjaadal. Read more about it on her website, here. Underfull means something like supernatural, miraculous.

Adam & Eve

- bed linen that talks the language of love

Great new design by the Norwegian design team Funkle.

Sensual bed linen that is based on old erotic Norwegian folklore. The two sided design tells the story of how Adam & Eve discovered lovemaking and thus creating the creatures of the faerie kingdom.

Display the innocent delicate side or turn and reveal the playful seductive underside, where the party is never-ending.

droplet

Some of you might remember my guest blogging over at Bloesem about a year ago, and some of you might even remember this post about furniture design students from Bergen National Academy of the Arts who exhibited their prototypes at Stockholm Furniture Fair. One of the students presented in that post, Ingunn Eikeland Bjørkelo, has now gotten her first piece of furniture in production. Droplet (pictured above) is now being produced by Swedish Offecct. I think it's a really handsome table!

The Droplet table illustrates a very nice interpretation of the ripple effect from a designer’s point of view, where the table has been inspired by the oceanfront of Bergen, Norway, with a tabletop shaped in a gentle wave formation reminiscent of the ripples created on water by a falling stone. hay

Hay, designed by Norwegian Petter Skogstad, is inspired by bales of hay. I'm not sure I would like to have this modul sofa in my own home, but I sure like the shape of it.
