PRODUCT SPOTLIGHT: PUREDERM NOSE STRIPS (ALOE)

Here’s an initial review on PUREDERM NOSE PORE STRIPS (ALOE)

PRICE: ?

PLACE BOUGHT: FREE

OTHER LOCATIONS: SM WATSON’S

THE VERDICT:

I don’t favor going to skin clinics for a face spa because I hate all the pricking and squeezing. Thorough cleansing, weekly scrubbing, and face masque applications are my ideas of a face spa. I do get blackheads and whiteheads too. So weekly, I use a nose strip to remove those stubborn sebum and dirt from my pores.

The strips each come in a foil pack to preserve the freshness of the product.

Like all pore strips, removal is quite a pain in the arse. But this is proof that the pore strip is indeed effective. Check out how much sebum and dirt this strip has stripped off of my nose!

AMAZING. Look at all that grime on the strip! My nose felt a bit dry after peeling off the strip due to the Salicylic Acid. But I love how my nose felt smooth and looked clean after the application. I just slather some moisturizer on my nose after to keep the skin from turning dry.

I recommend this if you don’t have time to visit a facial spa. If your nose feels grainy within the week, grab this from the Purederm counter in Watson’s. It’s also best for your boyfriends and husbands for a more kiss- worthy nose!

PRODUCT SPOTLIGHT: PUREDERM EYE PUFFINESS MINIMIZING PATCHES (GINGKO)

Here’s an initial review on PUREDERM EYE PUFFINESS MINIMIZING PATCHES (GINGKO)

PRICE: ?

PLACE BOUGHT: FREE

OTHER LOCATIONS: SM WATSON’S

THE VERDICT:

Staying up late until the wee hours of the morning and stress can lead to puffs under the eyes. You wouldn’t want those extra baggages underneath because they make you look sick, tired, and bloated.

Purederm’s Gingko eye patches can help diminish those puffy bags. For maximum effectiveness, I used them for around 30 minutes, even if the instructions stated that 15 minutes is enough to allow the healing properties of Gingko settle on the skin. Per pack contains two sets of patches.

The foil pack keeps the strips fresh.

To be able to measure the effectiveness of a product, you should use it consistently. I can’t say that it was really effective. But the result after my usage was nice. The skin on my under eyes felt moisturized and supple. I felt that the extracts have worked their way in my skin.

Eye puffiness can be diminished with enough sleep and intake of lots of water. Supplements and topical medications can help, but we shouldn’t totally rely on them.

A HUGE SURPRISE FROM PUREDERM

Indeed, blogging has its perks! :)

Around a month ago, I received an email from someone from the Marketing department of Genso Inc., the handler of Purederm Cosmetics Korea in the Philippines. The person asked me if I'd be interested to do a review on their BB cream, and they'd send me a full- sized sample. I said yes, and the person told me to wait for the package and their confirmation email. The deal was done, and I am eagerly awaiting my free BB cream.

After a month, no BB cream came. Updating the contact person was in mind, but I kept on forgetting because I was pre- occupied with end-of-the-semester stuff. I also thought that they might have changed their mind and found a more popular blog than my blog. So I decided to let it pass.

But a pleasant surprise greeted me when I came home one Wednesday evening. There's this medium- sized box with a dainty fuschia ribbon wrapped around it lying on my bed. It also has a card saying "TO: MS. MARTHA STA. BARBARA/ THE BEAUTY JUNKEE FR: PURDERM COSMETICS" (I'll post the pics of the unopened box once I get hold of the DSLR :)).

Then the Purederm BB cream deal came to mind and thought that after all, they considered sending me their product. But it was an even bigger surprise. They sent me 18 products all in all! For a moment, I was in a state of disbelief and told myself that I am not seeing a Purederm gift pack right before me! But 'tis true! These Purederm goodies are mine!

Let's open the box, shall we? :)

Now let's check out what they sent me. :)

Gel masks :)

Foot stuff :)

Treatment pads for the face and hands. :)

Hair masks :)

Traditional clay masks. :)

And my first- ever BB cream. :)

MY PUREDERM GIFT SET! :)

**Many thanks to the Purederm company for entrusting me their products. Rest assured that I will try my best to give a good review for each item. However, my opinion will not be biased and will be solely based on my honest observation of the products.
