Full Fuschia is part of the PRO line of MAC. It garnered high ratings in makeupalley.com and is a favorite among beauty bloggers.

Full Fuschia is a vivid hot pink shade with slight bluish and silver reflects that are completely unnoticeable. The reflects give the Fuschia color a beaming effect.

If you want a dose of pink on your face and in your daily looks, Full Fuschia is your best bet. It's so bright, yet it's so wearable. As compared to the other Fuschia lipsticks I've owned, Full Fuschia is the most flattering. Maybe because the bluish and silver reflects give the lipstick a different dimension and effect. It makes teeth look whiter, and it brightens up the face. The other Fuschia lipsticks I've owned are flat and dull, and they give the wearer a tendency to look mature.

If you want a Fuschia lipstick that will flatter almost any skin tone, then you'll love Full Fuschia! It's also a great neon shade for summer!

THE VERDICT:

I am anticipating the line in MAC counters once the Wonder Woman collection is released locally. So as to avoid going home upset and empty handed, I asked mom to grab me AT LEAST something from the collection. And luckily, she got me Marquise'd, which is the lipstick shade I'm eyeing from the collection. The Wonder Woman collection in Seoul is not complete. According to mom, they only have lipsticks, eyeshadow palettes and MSFS. I wanted to get an e/s palette or an MSF, but I thought that I would end up selling 'em anyway. So I'm fine with a lipstick. :)

Marquise'd is a repromote from MAC'S Blonde, Brunette, and Redhead collection. The finish is lustre. Marquise'd is a beige lipstick with slight gold flecks and with a pink undertone.

Here's a swatch on my skin. Marquise'd may appear differently depending on skin tones. On fair skin, it might appear a bit pinkish coral, and on darker skin, it can appear pinkish nude. For reference, I have NC42 (tanned) skin. :)

Here's moi wearing the lipstick. Even though it has a frost finish, it doesn't look Xanadu- ish. And it doesn't make your teeth look garish or yellowish! The pink nude shade makes this another great shade for summer! :)

I'm back!

I've hibernated from blogging because I had to focus BIG TIME on my performance thesis (which was a huge hit), CYRANO: ISANG SARSWELA. I decided to serve one master first because I cannot reconcile both worlds! Blogging and acting, truly, are demanding (yet satisfying) jobs!

I'm done with the performance, and I have to start writing my paper. But I decided to give myself a break first and go back to blogging because I have to breathe. :)

For my come- back post, I'll review this favorite nude lippie of mine.

Fresh Brew is described as a "creamed coffee" by maccosmetics.com. It is a sheer, nutty shade of brown, with a slight dash of cream for a milky mocha finish (makes me crave for coffee right about now :p).

Here's a swatch on my hand. I swiped the lipstick thrice because it's so sheer, it can pass off as a lipbalm.

Here's moi using the Fresh Brew lipstick in one of my "Au Naturel" looks. I swiped the lipstick twice. As you can see, it didn't have any effect at all. But the thing I love about the shade is, it gives your puckers a luscious nude beach- worthy shine. And summer is just around the corner. And Fresh Brew will keep me company in quenching my lips, and pulling off a beach goddess look. :)

LOONG OVERDUEE!

Better late than never, as the old saying goes. I still have loads of stuff to review for everyone!

Violetta is one of the unique lipstick shades from the past VV collection of MAC. It has an amplified satin finish.

One of my most favorite villains of all time! :)

Violetta reminds me of Up the Amp, but a tad darker. The color is violet with slight bluish- purple glimmers that give the lipstick a 3D effect.

Here's moi wearing the lipstick. The shade is tough to pull off on a normal day. But it is worth owning one if you want a different color to wear on special occasions. I also recommend this if you're out to party with your friends. It's a refreshing alternative to red and vampy- colored lipsticks. The shade also goes well with pastel colors such as lavender, gray, and pink. :)

I was on the verge of buying another Nars Orgasm because I realized that I don't have a peach blush. But I'm afraid I'll get tired of it again so I decided to buy MAC's Peachykeen

Peachykeen is a peach blush with hints of gold shimmer. It is VERY pigmented. So if you have a heavy hand, be sure to dust the excess off, and apply on your cheeks in light strokes (unless you want to look sun burned).

Nars' Orgasm is more on the pink side, which is why I sold it. I thought it would look more peach, but it turned out pink on my skin tone.

MAC's Peachykeen is PEACH. No undertones whatsoever. The slight gold shimmer makes this a perfect summer blush. If you want to soften the shimmer a bit, dab powder on top of the blush. I like the fact that this blush enhances my skin tone, and it goes very well with my beige and brown lippies.

And if you're looking for a peach blush, check Peachykeen first before you shell out dough on an Orgasm.

THE VERDICT:

Of all of my lemmings from the VV collection by MAC, this is what I only got. This shade of lipstick is so unique, that I'll regret it if I pass up on it.

Toxic Tale is part of the collection featuring the Evil Stepmother from Snow White.

The Disney collection's price per product was hiked up just a bit. So instead of paying for the usual 950php for a lippie, I paid 1000php. I guess we have to pay for the Disney rights too, huh? :)))

Moving on.

"Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all?" Oh, Evil Stepmother, you're my most favorite villain of all time! The meanest and the vainest villain I've encountered. She should've started her own beauty blog too (if blogging existed in their kingdom). LOL!

I just love the simple picture of the Evil Stepmother on the cheap shiny plastic tube (I didn't like the look of the tube!). It also makes this easier to spot in my make- up train case because her picture serves as a marker.

Toxic Tale's intensity and shade varies, depending on the color of the skin tone of the person wearing it. I've noticed that, it looked red/coral on girls with fair complexion, and it looked bright coral on girls with medium to dark complexion. So I can't really say that it's just a plain bright coral lipstick with no undertones whatsoever (because that's how the shade came out on me).

Regarding the consistency, Toxic Tale provides a smooth, opaque finish that lasts long. It even leaves a hint of coral on the lips even if the lipstick is completely wiped off. Staying power is very good. Albeit, some girls may need to apply lip balm underneath the lipstick, as this lipstick can be a bit drying.

This color will definitely brighten up a dull face, and will definitely add a pop of color to an almost bare- looking face. And I can also see myself wearing this more often in the summer months during beach time! And this shade of coral also makes teeth look white!

THE VERDICT:

Woodwinked is one of the popular brown eyeshadows from MAC. It has garnered high ratings from makeupalley.com, and is much appreciated by international and local beauty blogs.

It is described as a warm antique gold eyeshadow by maccosmetics.com.

True enough, this eyeshadow has a strong gold color. But ultimately, the shade can be categorized under browns/neutrals, so you really can't call this a gold eyeshadow.

Please check my MAC eyeshadows review for the texture of the eyeshadows. The review here is mainly for the color. :)

Skin swatch. The shade might look too frosted and could be mistaken as a highlighter. But you can wear this eyeshadow on its own. Do you recall those fashion ads with models just wearing a nice warm wash of foil brown eyeshadow on their lids? Get those eye make- up looks with Woodwinked!

Here's an eyelid swatch. It gives my face a warm vibe. Even if you're too lazy to put eye make- up, but still can't go out without eyeshadow, just spread this over your lids to emphasize your eyes. It gives your eyes a deep and natural look. And if you want to create deep set eyes, add chocolate brown or dark brown eyeshadows on your outer creases.

THE VERDICT:

I've always mused about how much I despise frosted lipstick. It makes your teeth look garish, yellowish, and makes you seem as if you're part of the musical Xanadu. It's a lipstick for the daring, brave, and wild. And also, for those who will go to a costume party.

But for some weird reason, I fell in love with Tempting, which is part of MAC's Frost line of lipsticks.

Tempting is a warm hazelnut color with a peach undertone. It has a very slight gold glimmer. But as you can see, the finish is like satin, not frost.

Well, you can sorta' conclude why I fell in love with this lipstick. I can't even consider this as a frosted lipstick. The glimmers are so faint, that you can't see them unless you look hard for it. The glimmer adds dimension to the lips by making it look luscious and well- moisturized. The nutty shade makes this a perfect go- to lipstick for everyday use. It's such a wonderful color to use for the rainy season because it gives my face a warm vibe.

I'm not sure if Tempting is available in our local MAC counters. And if it is, better get yourself one if you're a neutral/browns girl like me!

THE VERDICT:

A Taupe eyeshadow is an unusual brown color. Generally, it's brown, but the charcoal undertone makes it a bit ashy, which makes it a great color for smoky brown eye make- up looks.

Here's a closer look on the color. At first glance, it might look like a chocolate brown eyeshadow. But the real color is revealed once you swipe it across your skin or lids.

Satin Taupe is a mushroom brown taupe color with a hint of silver foil on the overall color. It's a great crease shade that won't look too dark nor too light. It's also a great color to use in accentuating the arches on your lids.

Pink Nouveau is one of MAC's most famous lipstick shades. According to some, it's a bubbly color that you can wear without looking unnatural, and it looks good on fair and dark skin tones alike.

And it is always out of stock in our local MAC stores. Apparently, it is also a favorite of some local celebrities, according to a source.

I've been waiting for a long time to buy one but unfortunately, the stocks are always sold out a few days after they arrive in our MAC stores. And unfortunately, some MAC stores don't honor reservations. They just ask people to wait for fresh stocks.

Anyway, Lady Luck was on my side because I saw a post by Sis Shally saying that she's going to sell her newly- bought Pink Nouveau. And I sent her a message instantly and asked her to reserve the lipstick for me.

So here's my take on MAC's most sought- after pink lipstick.

Pink Nouveau is a cool pink lipstick with a slight lilac undertone. The shade of PN may vary depending on what skin tone it is worn against. On fair skinned ladies, this may appear a tad lighter, almost bubblegum pink- ish. But on morena and dark skinned girls, the lilac undertone becomes a bit obvious.

And they are right, indeed, it's a pretty shade!

IMO, Pink Nouveau is the love child of MAC's Up The Amp and Saint Germain. The latter shades might require guts to wear on a daily basis. But their lovechild, Pink Nouveau, lets you enjoy both worlds!

If you look closely, you might feel or think that Pink Nouveau might look too odd on your lips. I even thought when I first tried this on, that it makes my lips stick out in a weird way. But when I got to see my face from afar, this lipstick is actually so pretty under natural lighting! It makes tanned skin tones more radiant. And for a bright lipstick, it is unexpectedly wearable. Much more wearable than Lavender Whip!

'Scuse the eye bags. Just wanted to show everyone a photo of moi wearing Pink Nouveau. I love the fact that it makes me look girly and young. It's a refreshing break from my usual lipstick colors: red, beige, rose, brown.

I swear, it's worth purchasing a Pink Nouveau!

THE VERDICT:

At last, a true dark blue eyeshadow. I've seen gorgeous swatches of deep truth online and I knew I had to get one because I'm updating my eyeshadow collection.

Deep Truth is a dark denim blue eyeshadow with hints of silver glimmer. Blue looks great on my skin and I love how it makes my eyes look bright. It's great to use in smokey blue eye make- up looks when the classic smokey eye make- up becomes too boring and common already.

Now that's one lemming off of my list. Three more to go: Going Bananas, Mulch, and De- Vil.
