THE VERDICT:

I've finished my Messy Bessy Insect Repellant spray. Since an insect repellant has become an important item for me wherever I go, I decided to try other brands, specifically stuff from organic skin care lines. I'm trying my best to substitute some of the commercial skin care products that I use with organic stuff so that I would somehow lessen the amount of chemicals that I apply on my skin.

So for my first organic products, I purchased some from Z.E.N., which is an abbreviation for Zestful, Organic, and Natural.

I managed to purchase from one of the main distributors so I got the mosquito repellant at a cheap price.

I'm almost done with my tube. So I think it's now time to review this product.

Okay, so Z.E.N.'s mosquito repellent lotion is lightweight. It has a nice citronella scent that fades off after a few minutes of application.

But what I don't like about this lotion is, it has the tendency to become watery when it is left in a car that's parked under the sun, or if you apply it without shaking it well. It's kinda' messy, and I think it also lessens the effectiveness of the product.

The staying power is not good as well. It only stayed for a good two hours. The Messy Bessy repellant stayed for at least four.

Another thing that I don't like about it is, it's in lotion form. I really don't like lotion. And I'm the type of person who would just like to spray, rub and go. That's why the spritzer- type repellant really works for me.

Overall, I didn't like it. It's not so bad. But it's not good either. It's good if you're only going stay indoors and would just like to use a lightweight repellant on your skin. But if you're gonna use this outdoors, this will not last long. I suggest that you go for heavy duty repellants. And if you have sweaty legs, then this is not for you because in my observation, this just leaves a film that's easily washed or rubbed off. It's not a type that goes absorbed into the skin. And of course, I will not repurchase.
