The Misfits - Monster Mash


In 1997, the horror punk group The Misfits released a music video of them covering "Monster Mash" live. They also released a studio version as a single in 1999, and recorded a separate version for their 2003 album Project 1950 (see below).

ABCI HAUL PICS+MOM'S PRESENT FROM CHINA

So finally, Mom came home and I got the digital camera back and I immediately took pics of my hauls. 

So without further adieu, I present to you, my ABCI SALE HAUL.

Here are my ABCI hauls. Jurlique is for mom, Davidoff Game is for hubby and YSL Rouge Volupte is for moi. :)

Mom had a trip to the Great Wall and look what she got in the Forbidden City. Actually, she bought three of these. One for herself, one for a friend and one for me. I chose the gold among the silver and copper. It's sooo lovely, eh? :)

Argh. I should've been there, if not for our dayum rehearsal. :(

These are real swarovski crystals (the stones on the cover). It's gold- plated and it costs around 1800php (when converted, I forgot the RNB price of this one)

It's a lovely vanity mirror. One side magnifies an image twice. :)

I feel like I'm Imelda Marcos with this one (LOL LOL LOL LOL). If you've seen her documentary film "IMELDA", her 18k gold vanity mirror with her name engraved on the cover with the help of good ol' amsterdam diamonds was shown in the film and apparently, was one of the subjects of controversy pertaining to her ill- gotten wealth. It's an interesting eye candy. Watch it. :)

Autumn by a Norwegian lake

Just for fun I had to copy the Title RuneE posted this morning. Not the same lake, but one of the many silent water mirrors we can find in our beautiful Norwegian nature these days.The ice has begun to cover the water surface.
The sky is completely without clouds and the low sun makes colors different from earlier.

Sky Watch Friday--just hanging around town

I've not been out and about much in the last few weeks, but my hip pocket camera is always--well, in my hip pocket--so I stopped on the way to town one day last week when the clouds were especially brilliant.

This week's reflections are from a lake that once was part of the water supply in Bergen. Now it is only used for recreational purposes.

Hubby updated me tonight telling me that he already got me a Chanel Rouge Allure in Comedia.

I can't believe eeeettt!!! My lipstick project is finally complete once I receive everything! :) Actually, it was a pabili. I told him that I'll pay him by December once I get gigs (December is RAKET SEASON). But he replied "PASALUBONG KO NA LANG SAYO YUN :)"

AWWWWW..... My bunny is soo NICE!!!! I loooveee Rich boyfriends! (NOW I SOUND LIKE A TOTAL GOLD DIGGER HERE HEHEHE) :)

Anyhoo, I just want to share this solo pic from our play, MARY STUART this coming Nov.19 (hope you can watch guys. Please try to catch our shows!) I'm just uber happy that I finally had a solo shot from one of the most- sought after photographers in the theatre (actually, he might actually be the best there is). It's like getting an autograph from a celebrity. :)

CAN'T WAIT FOR HUBBY!!! :P

Ladies here, there and everywhere

In the corner of my eye when sitting here writing this post I see my Indonesian Queen inspiring me with her graceful attitude and colorful clothing.
The Norwegian painter Kai Fjell is probably the one who most has expressed women in his artworks. The natural feminine power that cares for creation and prolonging life has been as I see it, a central force in his production.
Another artist is Olav Mosebekk who always has expressed women in his drawings and graphic works. In his last productive years he dared to call him self a painter, and went longer than before in showing the beauty of women i.e. in his book O.M. - og bakom synger Eros

I am nothing compared to these two Norwegian artists, but am very intrigued by the female body, and try often to express the beauty of women in different ways and colors. My last paintings is shown here:

Bench along the trail

When you walk along a trail you are usually glad to see a place where you can sit down, relax and enjoy whatever sight there might be to see. In this case I was walking along a trail in The Forest of Canada.

No, I have not moved away from Norway. However, in Bergen there is a forested recreational area called The Forest of Canada (Kandaskogen in Norwegian). One might imagine it looks a bit like it too - judging from the pictures I have seen, for instance on Barbara Martin's blog.

The name stems from a group of boy-scouts who in 1918 went hiking in "Canada".

I only hope the authorities in Canada take better care of their benches than we do.

Get ready for a picture explosion

First: The shoes

Months ago when we saw the press picture announcing the collaboration of Jimmy Choo and H&M, there were these black shoes. I hoped all of the shoes were as great but unfortunately I think they gave the best up front, so those still remain my favourite.

I was also very curious to see the thigh high boots below. Oh my, those were really high! I mean considering my legs are not short, I felt like they designed them for model legs exclusively. ^^ But the leather is quite good, in case you were wondering!

The red wedges below are not a part of the Jimmy Choo collection, they're from the upcoming H&M collection.

This one is actually very small, you can probably only fit in your cell phone and cigarettes.

My favourite bag is the one below. No fancy-schmancy studs above animal print but simple and understated.

The sequined sweater with a zipper is pretty unique and the one shoulder black leather and grey suede dresses are also beautiful.

Are you counting the days till Novemer 14th to hit the stores? I'm not so sure yet if I'm going to buy anything from the collection, but seeing the items in real life made me like some of them even more, like the black shoes in the first picture. They're subtly sexy yet elegant and also timeless I think.
